The Heritage Public Library's Community Room is available to rent!
Perfect for birthday parties, receptions, bridal or baby showers, meetings/luncheons, workshops, or classes.

Details
- The room features a full kitchen that makes entertaining easier.
- Rental time is from 7 am to 11 pm
- Maximum capacity is 50 people
- The rental fee is $75, plus a $75 security deposit, due at the time of reservation.

To Rent the Room
- A signed contract is required.
- First call us at 724-926-8400 or stop by the library
- Then, fill out the contact and send it with payment to Heritage Public Library, 52 4th Street, McDonald, PA 15057
- Requests to hold the room are made in person or over the phone.
- To guarantee the room is yours, you will need to bring in both fees to the library plus a signed copy of your rental agreement within one week of your initial request*.
- Once those items are received and your application is reviewed and approved, your event will then be listed on our calendar.
*If two or more parties want to rent the room at the same time, the community room is rented on a first-come, first-served basis based on submission of the signed contract plus payment in full of both the security deposit and rental fee.
Rules and the Security Deposit Refund Policy
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED TO RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT! Your deposit will be returned to you when you return the key (within 3 days) and have completed the checklist for clean-up at the end of your celebration/event.
- Wipe down all kitchen surfaces, tables & chairs
- Please return the tables/chairs to their carts
- Wash/Dry/Put away any dishes, equipment or supplies that you have used
- Sweep and mop all floors (Kitchen, Community Room, Bathrooms)
- Clean the coffeepots, oven, and microwaves (if used)
- Clear out the refrigerator/freezer/pantry of your personal items
- Take out all of the trash and replace (kitchen can, black garbage can, 2 bathroom cans)
- Please make sure the restrooms are cleaned
- Shut off the lights and LOCK THE DOOR
- THE SALE ROOM IS NOT TO BE USED AS A PLAYSPACE, AND IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL!!!
- Cleaners, disinfectants, and bucket are under the kitchen sink
- Push broom, mop & bucket are next to the restrooms.
- Trash bags are provided (2 large black bags, and 2 white kitchen bags). Please replace a clean bag in each garbage can before you leave.
- The renter must provide additional bags if needed. Restroom bags are in the bathrooms on the shelves.
Community Room Usage Policy
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Smoking and alcohol are prohibited. Renters must use smoking receptacles by dumpsters for cigarette butts.
- No spiked shoes are allowed in the building.
- DO NOT drag tables or chairs across floors.
- Tables & chairs must be replaced onto their carts.
- All floors (kitchen, community room & bathrooms) must be swept and mopped.
- Trash must be bagged and put out back in mini-dumpsters.
- Renters must lock up by 11 p.m.
- Signs & decorations may be displayed; however, NO TAPE IS PERMITTED ON THE WALLS. Please do not place anything on the gray soundproofing around the top edges of the room. You are responsible for any/all damages.
